Voice and organ
This suite of two art songs is inspired by the J. Brombaugh organ in Fairchild Chapel of Oberlin Conservatory, Oberlin OH (this is the source of the stopnames of the registrations). The setting of each text principally strives to recreate the feeling of winds and flowing water, respectively.

Chorale Variations on the Passion Chorale
The first variation is a simple duo between the cantus firmus and a counterpoint.
The second variation is based off of a continuous stream of minor triad first inversion chords.
The third variation is a trio-cannon in which the alto and soprano voices are transposed.

Ideally, this piece will sound very different than what is written. The manuals and pedal are playing on mixtures only. This means that the fundemental is not heard, but instead we hear a combination of octaves and fifths. I intended for an ethereal texture with this effect.
